Spring Break!
Whew- evaluation week is over! After a busy quarter, it is finally spring break, and later today I am headed to Los Angeles to visit some of my closest friends from high school. One of them goes to USC, another to FIDM, and a third to Pomona. It is definitely going to be a great vacation from Evergreen, even though I understand that I’m going to be missing out on some crazy nice weather.
This past week I’ve been writing my self-evaluation: a great way to write your self-evaluation is to introduce where you are coming from, then write two paragraphs on concepts that were significant to you, followed by a paragraph talking about a useful skill you acquired (for example, I wrote about large-scale organization). To wrap up, it helps to write about where you are heading next, which for me, is Marxist Theory. Using this formula is a foolproof way to write a great eval.
Tonight, I’ll be flying in to Burbank, and I’m super excited! What is nice about this trip is that I don’t really have a whole lot of plans for when I get there except for meeting up with friends. There are however, some things that I would like to do while I’m there. First of all, I have to read for my class, and I’d like to do this in as much sunshine as possible. Hooray! Also, there are some really cool exhibitions at the Getty going on right now that I would love to check out.
Well, on that note, I still have some last minute packing to do before I head on up to SEA/TAC. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day, it is pretty sunny here in Olympia, and if you haven’t visited campus yet, this is a great time to do that! Ciao.
