definitely use in project - Charlie Parker & Art Blakey
Charlie Parker was a heroin addicted jazz musician who was one of the leaders of the Bebop style of jazz.
Art Blakey also a legendary jazz artist was behind the first iteration of the song Moanin’. Blakey was coming up in the same era as Parker, he just happened to live longer due to not OD’ing on heroin. - Charles Mingus- LEGENDARY, absolutely legendary performer, composer, all around person. Mingus composed some of the most compelling, anarchic pieces of music ever.
- Ronnie Cuber- White dude, able to play with same emotion as Minus’s band but the emotion he brings comes from an entirely different place, and it is clear when listening to the renditions.Player in Frank Zappa’s band, did not know this, Frank Zappa in my father’s top 5 musicians of all time. To him the only musicians were Garcia, Zappa, Monk, Hendrix and Mingus.
