For my final paper I will be making personal connections with the word Blasian. Blasian is a term that is used among people who are mixed with African American and Asian decent. As I move along with class I plan on making connections between my Asian side of my family and the black side of my family through the kinds of foods each side offers. So far, listening to my colleagues experiences I feel like I am heading in the right direction. We all have a metaphoric word we call home and all relate it to our lives. Each person I have talked with has helped me come up with better ideas to portray my place of “home”.
