I am currently in the process of finding personal accounts of Asian American/Pacific Islander Americans immigration experiences. I found the research method of writing down words (that are of particular interest or pertinent) and connecting them to discover a universal theme.
Some of the links I am considering:

https://www.nps.gov/articles/taas-aapiheritage-intro.htm

My idea is to go through articles on immigration and find the ones that stick out and give real life depictions of personal experiences with transitioning to a new way of living. How they deal with new traditions and perhaps merge them to some of their own, essentially creating new traditions.
How do they cope with the complete culture shock and adapting to a new society. Just food for thought. I am not certain where the rabbit hole will eventually lead.
