Hi, my name is Richelle. My pronouns are she and they. I transferred to Evergreen last school year from Highline College. This year I am a senior. My parents emigrated from the Philippines in the late 80s. I was born in Seattle and grew up in Des Moines and Burien. Now I live in Olympia with my partner, JJ  (who is referred to as Jackson in this blog). He and I are both students at Evergreen.

This is my first blog! The reason is because my Fall Quarter program is Asian/American: Pop Cultural Crosscurrents requires us to create and maintain a blog. But this isn’t a blog where I post stuff just to meet the requirement. Writing is very personal to me so there will be lots of times in my posts where I get into some personal stuff. I communicate best through writing and I will maintain this blog with as much care as I would any other writing thing I have done in the past. I have high hopes for this program in terms of what I will takeaway by the end. My writing style for this blog is very loose and informal. How these posts are written comes straight from my mind.
