Naomi tries to hang herself in the bathroom stall next to Seiko but is saved by Satoshi, who saves her just in time
Satoshi leaves Yuka in the infirmary so he can search for Yuka
Satoshi finds the space that he is in now does not connect to the second wing
Ayumi finds Naho in a class and goes to confront her about Mayu
Yoshiki appears between Naho and Ayumi after waking up in the hallway
Naho tells Ayumi and Yoshiki to give the doll to Yoshikazu in order to appease his spirit
Ayumi and Yoshiki start to look for the ghosts’ tongues to give back to the children
Ayumi gives Ryou back his tongue to keep him from attacking Yoshiki
Ayumi starts to get extreme headaches when she walks into rooms filled with spirits, especially ones that have been murdered or cannibalized by their friends
Ayumi’s continued possession continues to nearly kill her over time
Others have tried to give the tongues back before or have found the tongues while in the school, one of them was hidden to keep the ghosts from receiving peace as revenge for killing their friends
The last tongue bag was under the floorboards where Mayu was killed
Morishige finds the bag before Ayumi and Yoshiki
Morishige gives the bag to Ayumi and Yoshiki, much to their surprise, and tells them to meet in rooms 1-A to meet up with the others
As a way to say thank you, Yuki transports Ayumi and Yoshiki back home
Yuki explains that the school is filled with spirits who have died there and their actions have fueled the ghosts to attack others against their fill. The hollow ghosts have no choice but to be controlled by their wishes, and it beyond being able to be saved by anyone
Yuki suggests to appease all four of the ghost children in other to destroy the school’s patterns and bring everyone home
A newspaper article states that Sachiko survived the kidnapping and murders, only to move out of town. All evidence about the Shinozaki’s life or information are missing.
Yuki gives Ayumi the memory of her experience in the basement during the kidnapping and murders.
Ayumi listens as “Yokikazu,” murders Ryou and Tokiko
Ayumi experinces Yuki’s death and learns that Sachiko is the real murderer of the ghost children
The newspaper realizes that the children’s tongues were cut after they were already dead
The principal started to lose his mind, leading others to believe that Yoshikazu’s delusional mind, speech, and actions made sense for him to be the murderer
The news article written by Kou Kibiki (appearing in chapter 5) was written in 2003, leading the child murders to be in 1983.
