One of the more common things that people share in our time is near full immersion in media. It’s a constant presence, almost inescapable, always accessible at a moment’s notice. Movies, TV, music, books, video games, the internet. The points of access are many. Faced with this reality, media studies became a primary interest for me. Understanding how these things get made, what goes into them, and what people get out of the things that others make. I hope to come to understand this process better while gaining knowledge of Asian/Pacific Islander American culture over the course of this program.
