Potential Topics:
Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) Directed by: Blake Edwards.
- Analysis of Mickey Rooney’s character Mr. Yunioshi from Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961). This is one of my favorite films as I am a fan of Audrey Hepburn but I can’t disregard the problematic casting and performance of Mickey Rooney. I would analyze Rooney’s portrayal in the film and explore the topic of yellowface in a greater scale of the film industry.
- Analysis of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004). Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorite directors of all time and these films were my introduction to kung fu and anime movies. I would analyze the films as a whole and see if Tarantino did these asian-style films justice.
- Analysis of The Wrecking Crew (1969).This film features an all white cast in a martial arts movie. (Bruce Lee was the martial arts adviser) I would analyze the film as a whole and explore the concept of an all white cast in a kung fu movie. I am also a fan of Sharon Tate and this was her final film.
- Analysis of Enter The Dragon (1973). This film was my introduction to Bruce Lee, I always remember the scene with the mirrors. I would analyze the film as a whole, the significance of Bruce Lee’s career and this being his final film.
