Lucy Liu will receive her star on May 1st!
She is the second Asian American woman to receive a star. She was also the first Asian American to host SNL!
This news is so exciting and so incredibly deserving not only for Lucy, but the entire Asian American population.
I can’t help but feel upset though, as she is only the second Asian American woman to receive this honor. Racism in Hollywood is stemmed so incredibly deep. 🙁
Hopefully there will be many Asian Americans after Lucy.
This is a step in the right direction that will pave the way for others.
