We finished our project and presented it yesterday along with the other groups in our class. Once the project was bounced, it seemed to sound better than ever. I failed to bring a storage device to class so I did not get a copy of it. I hope to have a copy of it uploaded tomorrow.
This is the final week to work on the project. We finished up our recordings and spent the majority of the day mixing.
This week my group began the final project. Today we spent over six hours. We recorded all of our vocals and have most of our sound effects done.
Thursday, I worked with a MIDI controller with Digital Performer. I made a project and played it in peak. It was all done in preparation for composing original sounds for the final project.
I have spent two weeks becoming familiar with sound in film, learning new things about it daily. With the work on my soundscape I was able to use professional sound editing software Digital Performer and Peak. I have had contact and experience with studio equipment and watched several clips from films that have award winning sound. The most important and entertaining part of my learning experience so far has been to watch student work and compare it with professional work. I am now ready to start work on a project with other classmates as we create our own original sound for a scene from Terminator 2.
This is my first audio recording. It is a soundscape which was an attempt at beach sounds.
