Last Friday’s filming in the bottomless pit was… interesting. Definitely over ambitious. I have no idea how it turned out, it fo sho was not perfect but I guess that’s not the point. The point is to learn from everything we do so having everything go crazy was a great learning experience. My teacher said that she was glad me and my partner were ambitious and tried new things because that’s why we are here. Making mistakes is a HUGE part of the learning process.

Today we pitched our topics for our research papers (which are going to be 10-15 pages and due in less than 4 weeks!!! AH!) and I am going to be writing about Edward Murrow. If you saw Good Night and Good Luck, that movie is about the guy that I am writing about. He is super cool and pretty much single handedly revolutionized broadcast news and even television as a whole. He also took on McCarthy with his popular broadcast that led to the release of an Army man who was imprisoned because his father, supposedly, used to be a subscriber for a magazine a long time ago but had only recently been publishing pro-communist stuff AND he pretty much directly challenged McCarthy’s sanity.

Way cool dude. We will see if I can bust this paper out in record volume and time.
