My videos
This is my “My Videos” page where I will be updating all of the videos I make in class. Leave me some comments and let me know what you think.
This one is I made as the first video project for the year (the first part of fall quarter we were doing 16mm film). Our assignment was to just capture natural light. The song is original and made by my roommate Pat.
The assignment for our next project was to document an event and so I came back to Vancouver and shot my brother’s concert. The song is one that his band did. One of the hard parts of this one was that the battery on my camera died right as his band came on so the band that you see playing is not actually the correct band, although 2 of the members are the same.
This one was inspired by Luis Bunel and Agnes Varda and explores reflexivity and using images and audio to manipulate “truth”. It was our final assignment for the quarter and I like it a lot because it really connects to everything we did all year. The song in the first bit is weird becuase of copyright issues.
This one is kind of a weird project. The assignment was to make a short piece about an object that tells some kind of story. I chose to use my body and the things on my body that have personal stories behind them. Feel free to laugh, it’s supposed to be really reflexive and funny.
This is a video I made Sophomore year of high school. It’s not the best quality but I think it’s funny.
This is one I made as my final project in high school. I really like the story and I think I am going to try to re-make it with a little more work on style and cinematography.
“Indiewood” is a project my group made as an intro to a presentation we had to do for my program last year called “HOLLYWOOD” which was looking at Hollywood as a place and the politics there. Our presentation was about independent film and how much of the independent films we see are not actually independent.
