			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2><strong>Chinese Gardens documentary film screening on Jan. 26, 2013</strong></h2>
<p>We will be sponsoring a documentary short film screening on the <strong>26th of January between 11am and 1pm</strong>., with screening between 11am and 11:30am, and questions and answers and brown bag lunch discussion followed. The screening will be held in Seminar 2 lecture hall E1105 space. This is co-sponsored by the Business and Culture along the Silk Road program. Learn about the anti-Chinese violence in the Pacific Northwest in the 1880s. The documentary specifically focuses on Port Townsend but it also looks at other instances of violence throughout Washington State and beyond. It also looks at acts of resistance against the anti-Chinese discrimination of the time, specifically at The Chinese Gardens in Port Townsend. See video trailer here<br />

<h4>            Between 11:00-4:00 You will have opportunity to check with the roving guides who will be available to answer questions about the Garden. Of course, we will have another chance to try out some delicious Chinese food, family style, in one of the local Chinese restaurants there by the Chinese Garden, and visit the Chinatown.</h4>
