The two most obvious symptoms have been: 1. Access to student mail via OWA and Outlook has been sporadically slow. 2. Some messages have had significant delays in delivery. This is especially noticeable for messages coming from the outside and passing through our servers. I did some performance monitoring, and there seemed to be some problems with the mail servers looking up information in our user account database. Examples are the Exchange server queries the location of a user’s mailbox or the membership of a distribution list. The indicated fix was to create another Active Directory domain controller/global catalog server. I did this. Let me know if anyone experiences more delayed email or slow access problems.
