Outside of teaching I am also active in community media as well as nonprofit organization engagement. I served on the board for the Olympia Chinese organization, Olympia Refugees and Immigrant Service Center, the Washington Federation of State Employees, and the Thurston Community Television, (renamed as Thurston Community Media). Currently I serve as the Co-Chair for the Asian Pacific Islanders Coalition South Puget Sound Chapter and manage our census outreach and other civic and community engagement activities.
