Hello my friends. You must have been wondering if I had fallen of the face of planet earth. Well, I assure you thats not the case. I have simply been busy working on the soon to be released on-line video tour of Evergreens campus. You can imagine that in order to film a campus that covers a thousand acres I was certainly wearing my good walking shoes. After several weeks of filming, it was off to the multi-media labs to capture and edit the clips. For anybody who has been through these processes you already know how capturing film in to Final Cut Pro (Film Editing Software), happens in real time. Therefor, in order to capture my hours upon hours of film I was subject to long hours of selecting the clips I wanted and waiting for them capture. Long and boring but worth it. Once this was complete began the fun part, editing. My good friend, Anthony Rowe, and I got together and set our creative minds to work. The result of this teamwork is, in my mind, a glimpse of the world that is The Evergreen State College. A sneak peak of various locations on campus including the beach, organic farm, the rec center, and many other buildings and social gathering areas. In creating this video tour, the idea in mind was that this would enable any of you who don’t have the time or resources to come and visit in person, to get a sense of what the campus is like and also to give you some visual aids to imagine yourself here. Once this video is posted on-line I urge all of you to check it out, think about it and give me your feedback. I would be love any ideas on improvements or other things you all would like to see in video.
Before I forget to mention it, I am GRADUATING this Friday. Can you say huh? I will be a full time Admissions Counselor starting at the end of July. I hope to see all of you on campus soon. Until the next time, PEACE- J
