Hello again, future Greeners! For many of you, school has already started, and for me, it is about to start in less than a week! I’m so excited and nervous and actually very ready to start in my new program, Green Studio. It sounds really cool, and it was my first choice class for this year, so I’m really glad I got in. The class is about looking at sustainability through the eyes of an artist and a designer, and vice versa. As I am preparing myself to go into either art or sustainability as a career, I have big hopes for this class.

It is also really great to be back in Olympia. I got to see a lot of good friends in the last week, including the slumbering giant, Mt. Rainier, who said “Hello” from behind some clouds the other day. I of course also went around downtown and checked out my favorite restaurants and shops. I’m also getting settled in a really nice house off campus. I know it will take a little while to get back into the swing of things up here, as transitions from one place to another can often be difficult at first, but I know I have a home up here at Evergreen and in Olympia.
