Physical and Virtual Systems Design in Electronics

For this contract entitled Physical and Virtual Systems Design in Electronics, the student will use the text Understanding digital signal processing, by Richard G. Lyons, in addition to Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics by Stan Gibilisco. The student will study topics in electronics and digital signal processing. The student will work on his own through the material, and will discuss his work with faculty at bi-weekly meetings as well as document his findings using a physical journal and online production blog. The student will complete several design projects using electronics as well as design projects using DSP functions for computer generated sound synthesis using MAX/MSP.
