OLYMPIA, Wash. – Evergreen men’s soccer head coach John Purtteman has announced eight new players for the 2012 campaign, including student-athletes from four different states. The Geoducks are set to kickoff the season on Aug. 17 at home against Trinity Lutheran.
Brady Espinoza: Two time NWAACC All Star and Captain at Walla Walla CC. Brady is a smart, vocal leader who should anchor the backline for the Geoducks.
Greg Wolfe: Another two time NWAACC All Star from Shoreline CC. Greg was premier central midfield player who was selected as the North Region MVP in the NWAACC.
Joseph Ademofe: Joseph was an NWAACC All-Academic performer for Shoreline CC. Joseph is fantastic in possession and sees the game tremendously well.
Sebastian Lyons: Sebastian was the Captain at Skagit Valley College but had his time limited due to injuries. Sebastian works tirelessly up and down the flanks and can play either as a wide back or wide attacking player.
Brendan Rosgen: Brendan played two years at Edmonds CC. Prior to Edmonds, Brendan had a huge role in helping Snohomish High School win a State Championship scoring in the Final against North Kitsap High School.
James Meaney: James is the all time leading goal scorer for Colony High School in Alaska despite switching to goalkeeper for his final season. James is a strong, technical target player who will provide scoring punch for the Geoducks.
Sean Trees: Sean is a two time State Champion at Boise High School in Idaho. Sean is a strong back who can control the backline from a central position, or attack down the flanks out of the back.
Ian Hazard-Bill: Ian has played as a back and a midfield player, winning a Nor Cal State Championship with Marin FC.
