The Reserve is seeking a volunteer intern for a GPS field investigation of decadal changes in eelgrass distribution in Padilla Bay. Work will involve extensive field work during low tide on the intertidal flats, GPS technology for locating and documenting vegetation cover, photo documentation, measurement of vegetative characteristics of eelgrass in the field, laboratory processing of eelgrass samples, data entry, and entering data into a GIS database and also helping with other field and laboratory studies being conducted in Padilla Bay.
The public is invited to visit Morse Wildlife Preserve from 12pm-4pm on second Sundays from April through October. Parking is limited; carpooling is encouraged. FREE, donations welcome!

Visit the Adriana Hess Wetland Park while the native flowers and plants are blooming this summer when Tahoma Audubon volunteers will lead free guided bird or native plant walks.
