Michigan, Freshmen Advising Day and more!
Hello Everyone! I had the opportunity to go back to Michigan again about a week ago. This time, I was visiting for a conference in the beautiful city of Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, it was raining the entire time I was there which was a bummer, especially since I didn’t bother to bring an umbrella with me. During a few of the sun (and work) breaks, I did walk around and check out all the cool shops and restaurants in the area. All in all, it was a great trip though. I met some interesting and fun people, and I just love being in such a beautiful area. It reminds me a lot of the Northwest – I think that’s why I like it so much
Anyway, Spring Quarter is nearly over, and I can hardly believe that graduation is coming up so soon. Even though the rain has been coming down the last week, there is an energy around campus, an exhilarating buzz for the upcoming few weeks of excitement. I’m busy in the Admissions Office scheduling visits and planning for my involvement in Freshmen Advising Day which is on Friday, May 8. The newest class of Greeners will be here to do their initial advising session, meet faculty and register for their programs of choice! It’s an exciting day, and it’s my first glimpse at the class of 2013!
I’d like to also take a moment to remind you that our visit program will be continue going throughout summer time. We will continue to offer information sessions and campus tours throughout the summer, so it’s not too late if you’re thinking about getting up here to check it out for yourself, we’ll be here to greet you with a big smile and some Northwest sunshine!
