In this Space of Infinite Places

Artist Statement

I am sitting beside a good friend. We come from different worlds. After sharing some stories, we see that our webs are closer together than we thought. We connect, then, we smile. Her eyes turn to a different part of this life. A part that I don’t know, cannot know. Cannot see or feel, not even imagine.

We all have pieces that mold us into who we are. Every day, these pieces travel with us, and we think about them differently so that new pieces can form.

In the making of, “In This Space of Infinite Places,” I reflected on the stories that I carry with me through memoiris-tic and free-form poetry. The visual track I created will help you to see, feel and imagine different parts in my life.

It was challenging for me to work with memories that can be painful to look back on. However, working through these wounds in the form of a video essay was a very healing and beautiful process that I am very thankful for.

Thank you.
