If you are interested in taking this program, please email both Miranda Mellis and Julie Russo ( mellism@evergreen.edu and russoj@evergreen.edu ) with responses to these prompts in the body of the message (attachments will not be read):

a) your legal name, preferred name (if different), expected class standing in Fall 2017, and student ID A# (for registration purposes)

b) describe your previous experience with literary or media arts, literary or media studies, critical theory, or related disciplines (you should list programs/courses and explain professional/artistic practice, if applicable)

c) in one paragraph: Identify and describe one artistic, popular, or critical text in any medium (film, video, essay, visual arts, literary arts) that incorporates appropriation, adaptation, remix, parody, or other modalities relevant to the program theme. What do you find compelling, challenging, and/or pleasurable about this work, and how do you understand and engage with it?

d) optionally, tell us anything else you’d like about your interest in the program, related research or creative projects might want to pursue, etc.

The priority deadline for submissions is Thursday, May 18, 2017 (the day after the Academic Fair). We will reply about your status by email on or before Sunday, May 21. We will continue to review letters after this deadline on a first-come, first-serve basis as long as there is space remaining in the program, but be aware that it may take us up to two weeks to respond to inquiries over the summer.

If admitted, you will be able to register. Signature overrides are electronic; you do not need a physical form.

Thanks for your interest in RE/MIX RE/VERSE RE/MEDIATE!
