My name is Kasia Sliwinska. I have recently graduated from The Evergreen State College with a B.A. in Psychology. At Evergreen I have also explored Slavic culture and photography. While in school I had the pleasure of working at the Academic Computing Center and interning with City of Olympia.
I consider my research in Cognitive Psychology the focal point of my college education. Through a series of independent contracts, my project partner, Jackson Rodriguez, and I have designed, prepared, and implemented a psychology experiment with minimal aid from faculty. In the end, together, we have analyzed and presented the results of our study, which focused on the effect of emotional states on color preference, at the 2015 WPA Convention.
Now I am looking forward to continuing my education in Psychology. Soon I will be applying to graduate schools in California and on my way to a Master’s Degree!
