Parking Services Tips

Parked in a timed space and can’t get back to your vehicle in time? Avoid a ticket for overtime parking by contacting Parking Services at 867-6352 and ask for an extension of time. We can extend the time period an extra 15 minutes for your convenience.

Wish to park in the B lot metered spaces and you already have a valid daily pass or valid quarterly decal?  Keep in mind you also need to pay the parking meter in order to avoid an “expired meter” citation.

Wish to join the ranks of alternative transportation commuters? Permanent and temporary staff are eligible for the state-issued Intercity Transit free bus pass, the STAR pass, a little sticker we paste on your Evergreen ID, available from Parking Services in Seminar 1.  Bikers may take showers at the CRC at no charge provided they contact Andrew Beattie, Assistant Director for Operations, in advance at beattiea@evergreen.edu or x6528.

Did your battery die or did you leave your keys in your vehicle?  Call the main College number (867-6000) and a Police Officer will assist with a  a jump start or vehicle unlock.

Struggling with a mobility challenge and don’t have a state-issued ADA disabled parking hang tag and it is too far to navigate from the regular parking spaces in the B, C, and F lots? Contact Parking Services at 867-6352 and request a temporary ADA disabled parking hang tag (valid only on campus) for up to 10 days, until you feel better or are able to obtain the state-issued hang tag for a longer period of time.  Vehicles displaying ADA hangtags and parked in ADA reserved spaces must also display a valid daily pass or valid parking sticker.

Paying for daily parking passes and here before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m. when the Parking Booth isn’t open? Avoid a “no valid permit” citation by stopping by the F lot Pay & Display machine. You may purchase up to three days’ worth of daily parking. Some facts to keep in mind about the F lot pass machine:  a) you must press any button on the front first to “wake” it up, then make your selection; b) the machine requires correct change; and there is a change machine right next to it for your convenience; c) have your money ready as the machine times out after three minutes; d) for a one-day pass dated the next day, please make your purchase after 9 pm; and e) make sure that you are not purchasing a pass for Saturday or Sunday as the machine is not capable of differentiating and Evergreen does not charge for parking on weekends or between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays.
