This is a fantastic undertaking and wish you all the best.

My only suggestion is that someone volunteer to gain media exposure for this initiative as a model for what can be done when people really want to make a difference.

Scott…please add the following sentence to the purchasing portion on page 27: “Reducing the distance goods are shipped as well as reducing the number of daily incoming deliveries and outgoing shopping trips will contribute to the reduction of the college’s carbon footprint.”

This is currently being worked on; e-procurement will play a big part in identifying vendors within our own region from whom we can purchase goods and services. Thus elimnating the need to ship orders from across the country.
