Favorite Tea Tasting: Oolong
One of my favorite tea related tastes was the entire tea tasting done by Dewie Meyer of the WUWO Portland tea organization. I choose this as my favorite tea tasting because it was focused on the oolong variety. Oolong is made from the camellia sinensis like any other tea but it has an extremely broad range of characteristics. Oolong can range from 10% to 80% fermentation (or oxidation) which translates into a very large range of possibility. It was also a very unique experience to participate in and get a taste of what a real/organized tea tasting was all about. Overall it was a very fun and informative experience.
