Michael Vavrus, Ph.D., is a faculty member at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, U.S.A.  His research and teaching focuses on the relation between public education and society.  Professor Vavrus teaches undergraduate courses/ programs that are focused on  U.S. history and political economy.  He also conducts diversity workshops on a variety of multicultural topics.
