Ecology at Heritage Park
This post serves as a much needed break from all my obsessive human based posts as well as an archive of genuine interest; the natural environment here is actually pretty cool!
The Capitol Lake was formed from a daming of the Deschutes river. This water used to be part of an Estuary.
There are efforts to rebuild this natural environment to the way it was before human dating.
