Picnics at the park

A day of sun shines as I sit here on a green bench overlooking Capitol Lake with its greenish blueish hues and rippling, shimmering waters. The ducks are banding together and diving down deep. They might be looking for food but I don’t now know. What kinds of things do these ducks eat? How do they survive? What types of plants thrive in these waters? I look up to find the beautiful capitol building standing tall and proud. This whole park seems to serve as a celebration. A parade of sorts as all the people walk in circles around a well built cement hole. It serves as a lighter ground in contrast with the sullen seriousness that all politics are inherent with. The lawns are sprawling and the people seem to enjoy themselves. Some here are now eating lunch at a picnic table just about 50 ft to my west, along the grass and pebbles with the 4th street behind them . Around them more people stroll. I cannot see what is at the table or what celebration may be occurring but it seems very lively and something smells like cheese.
