View Finder Study Reflection
Cars pass by, only seeing the view of the Puget Sound for a few seconds, if their lucky. People walk down the streets mostly with their pets, I’ve never seen so many cute dogs in one day. The water is making small wavy patches and splashes lightly as it hits the rocks. Birds chirp outside of my frame of view and give me a mental image. The most present colors in this view are the green grass across the inlet, and the hues of blue and brown in the slow moving water. For some reason, water always ads a sense of mystery for me, who knows what creatures or phenomena are going on below. Things move in and out of the frame like cars, people and a small black and white duck that pops up every so often. The tide recedes, I can tell because the water pipe is now visible on my right side. I see various colors from the houses and cars going by. Orange U-HAUL trucks, a brown/red house with yellow window hatches. A white and blue boat in someones front yard that makes me wonder the last time it was in the water. It smells of sea weed and beachy ocean breeze, salty and fishy yet oddly comforting. Seagulls soar over the trees, probably just as thankful as I am for this sunny day.
