Other than establishing shots, most of my previous photos were trying to captivate a felt sense of place and were primarily grounded in texture. Now I’m interested in playing with a broader sense of scale and how that might contextualize shots. I was trying to include details that felt important–complications of scale and what the camera could capture and what I thought I might be able to remember versus what I needed photographic evidence of.
