VCC Field Study Site #2

On Wednesday, March 30th at Noon, the site was chosen next to the 5th Avenue Dam facing Capitol Lake, across 5th Avenue. The conditions were warm and sunny.

• Multitudes of cars and joggers visibly and audibly present.
• Friends walking and talking with coffee or strollers.
• A work van.
• A diver/worker.
• Some people working on the dam in hard hats and orange vests.
• Lots of black tar.
• Can hear dam feintly but not see it.
• Orange work cones.
• A sign explaining the ecology of the lake.
• Bright glittery blue lake.
• Sea gulls and ducks flying.
• Dark electrical boxes.
• Parallel paint lines.
• Bike lanes.
• Tall trees in the background.
• Cars shimmering in the Capitol parking lot above the lake.
• Dark dome of the Capitol building above cars above the lake.
• Airplanes buzzing overhead.
• City transit.
• Dark in background, bright in foreground.
