Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, climate change has always been a major issue in my life. The looming threat of the rising sea has been hanging over my head for as long as I can remember, but it’s never felt quite as urgent as it has now. Olympia is even more heavily threatened by climate change than most other cities in the region, and as I’ve made it my home over the last couple years I feel threatened by the prospect of losing it to the ocean. This blog will aim to help underscore the very real threat we face in the coming years and what we can do to hopefully fix it.
