Going Up: A View From the Garage
I had never thought to go to the second level of the parking garage at the Governor’s Hotel until my last two weeks of studying this site. How silly! The change in elevation helped me better understand the size and scale of my block in relation to downtown as a whole. It is small but not insignificant. On another note, I wonder if this block would look different if the estuary was restored. Could the businesses stay? Would there be a sea wall?
