Olympia Site- Field Study- Day 3
On May 2, 2016, a Monday, I visited my Olympia Field Study Site once again. It was a great day and I had some company this time. Here are my field notes that I took while I was there.
Location- Port Plaza Park, in the park itself
Date and Time- 3:35pm May 2, 2016.
Weather- Nice and warm with some grey clouds in the distance. It was about 80 degrees F
Sounds- The sounds of the water splashing on the small shoreline and the sounds of gulls flying and squawking overhead were most prevalent today
Sights- Lines of boats moored in the nearby docks, Moon Jellies in the water, the seagulls landing and flying around
Smells- The smell of oil was very present while I was walking around and it was upsetting to an extent. The smell itself was originating from the numerous boats that were stationed in the water
I was hoping to get some pictures of the Moon Jellies, but I was unable to capture any suitable shots with my camera. There was either too much wave action to properly focus on the Moon Jellies or too much glare from the sunlight to see into the water very well.
