Capitol Lake Overlook

I am sitting up near the state capitol buildings. There is a trail near the lake that leads up a hill to a spot for an overlook of the city.

I can see even more cars from up here. I’m not sure if there are more people walking by or not since the trail goes uphill. I was feelin’ it by the time I got to the top of the hill.

I can see more buildings from here including an abandoned warehouse on the other side of the bridge.

I wonder how different this observation setting would be on a less busy day. I feel like this spot could be really peaceful with less noise.

Today is really sunny though so there are many people out and about.

There is much more green coloration from the plants on this part of the trail though. I wonder how much upkeep this path requires.

The lake looks much smoother from up here, it is harder to see the ripples on the surface of the water.
