My area of observation is Capitol Lake and its surrounding parks and streets. Capitol Lake, as a manmade lake, has an interesting history. There is also current debate on what Capitol Lake should become in the future. Not often, in my experience anyway, do you hear about debate over what type of ecosystem a place should be. Currently, Capitol Lake is a place for jogging and strolling, walking dogs and children. In the future, this familiar place to all Olympians may look very different.
