Evergreen vs. Concordia University: October 29, 2010
The visiting Concordia Cavaliers defeated the home team Geoducks in three-straight sets Friday night by the scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-21. It wasn’t until the third set that the Geoducks were able to find some much needed rhythm to their play. On the defensive side of the ball Evergreen received some key contributions. Erin Caldwell (Junior/Snoqualmie, WA) led the effort with five blocks, two of them on her own. Caitlin Swift (Senior/Seattle, WA) added four blocks, as three of her teammates each recorded double figures in digs. Tori Foss (Freshman/McKenna, WA) led the way with 11, while Stephanie Peshlakai-John (Junior/Kirtland, NM) and Chantal Petkus (Junior/Richland, WA) each added 10. Jasmine Horton (Junior/Seattle, WA) led the offense with five kills. Next up for the Geoducks is their final home match of the season versus Warner Pacific College on Saturday evening. The Geoducks will recognize two outgoing senior members of this year’s squad, Caitlin Swift and student-assistant, LeAsia Jones. The first serve is slated for 7pm at the CRC Gymnasium.
