EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University volleyball team tied school records for overall wins and conference wins in a season on Saturday night, defeating The Evergreen State College in three sets, 25-18, 25-12, 25-15. The win gives NCU a 12-15 record on the season, including a 6-12 mark in the CCC.
The Beacons were led by senior Danielle Nance, who used the occasion of her final career game to overtake the season lead in kills, finishing with a team-high 236. She had 11 kills in the match and hit .400, adding four service aces and a block.
NCU’s other senior, Emily Miller added eight kills, seven digs, two blocks and two aces in her final match. Cori Wallace added 29 assists to her season-record total (833) and Dana Clark pushed her season-record dig total to 474 as she added eight more on Saturday night.
The Geoducks (0-19, 0-18 CCC) were led by Jasmine Horton with nine kills, five digs and two blocks. Stephanie Peshlakai-John added seven kills and Erin Mitchell led the team with 17 assists.
