PROJEKTS

My most recent projects, which were made for my Sound Design class, are two movie trailers that I have completely redone the audio for. The first one, which focuses more on the foley and dialogue aspects, is for the movie Big Trouble In Little China. The actual editing of the trailer was made by callepunk (http://www.youtube.com/user/callepunk). The second one is the Watchmen trailer and again redid the sound for it, but this one features one of my personal tracks “Gravita” to fill the music void. You can check out the pure foley and dialogue for both on my youtube channel (click this shape: ∞ ). But for now, enjoy the final result (in best condition before deadline).

Over the past week I’ve been recording various foley and sound effects for a sound-scape projekt for my Sound Design for Film class. I used a Zoom Recorder, Sennheiser MKH 416 (I think) shotgun mic, Shure Beta 58A, and Logic Studio. The intent is to have a split perspective between “me” and a cat I’m cat-sitting named Icarus. The perspectives are panned appropriately until the two meet in one space. Garbanzo beans.

A while back, a friend, William Wallace (neither Mel Gibson nor the actual dead guy but a legitimate, currently existing person), asked me to help him with an audio projekt for his Psychology class. The imagery he was looking for was a student fluctuating in and out of sleep during his/her [history] class; wandering into a lucid battlefield until rudely awoken. The process of this projekt resulted with the song Butterfly Smoothie (being written concurrently and as a means to break from the former projekt).
