After reading about the discrimination towards Asian-Americans, I can see a lot of similarities with how the whites treated African-Americans as well as other minorities living in the U.S. It just goes to show how much hatred is targeted towards those with cultural differences and varying backgrounds. The fact that immigrants from an entirely different country who come to America in order to create a better life for themselves and for family, are forced to pay taxes to a country that doesn’t even accept them as a people. It’s sickening to see the “land of the free” debriding these cultural peoples of their own backgrounds as well as basic rights within the community. The discrimination that still continues to this day is sickening.
