“Better Luck Tomorrow”

young Asian kid getting caught up chasing/trying to capture the american dream.

MONEY, THE GIRL, THE GlORY!

did chasing the girl lead him to succumb the spoils of the highschool “Dream”?

did his lack of success on the Basketball team lead to this Reckless lifestyle?

peer pressure is a STRONG ingredient in the movie that makes him ultimately give in to “Fools gold”. vergil caused more stress by being so eager to do dirt and feed his own ego. i feel like the character never had a balanced consciousness that could help guide him with his decisions through the movie. i also believe in his situations he never took time to consider everyone in the equation. that’s the “american way” which is Dog eat Dog. if consideration and better morals of self were established there would be a few situations could have gotten avoided. all characters had different versions of arrogance that overcame them and kept digging them in deeper holes in the movie that lead to the worse case scenario in almost every characters perspective.

the world is in your hands kid
