Scissors Post #2

  • History of Japanese Americans treatment in America needs to have more light shed on the topic.
  • Chico’s words on Wednesday were really comforting. Don’t know about anyone else but I was so hung up on having to stay within the parameters of “Asian-American” which in itself could have many definitions.

  • Coming up with what home for me was rough but I feel like cuisine and flavor leaves me an open ended way connecting as their are many ways something relating to food can relate back your home or even your culture.
  • Thoroughly impressed by the author of When the Emperor was Divine and her ability to tell a realistic story that both felt unique and universal in addition to being grounded in the historical setting.
