Kyler Murray was the first draft pick to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL draft. The significance of this is the fact that he is the first Asian American number one draft pick in the history of the NFL. This a big deal historically because of the history being made by being the first Asian American to be drafted number one, that opens the doors for other Asian Americans to be potentially drafted at number one as well if they are as good as Kyler Murray is. He was a dual sport athlete in college playing Baseball and Football and was a top prospect for the MLB draft in 2015.
