PARKLAND, Wash. – Hitting the road for the first time, the Evergreen Geoducks ran up against the 23rd-ranked Pacific Lutheran Lutes and it was the home squad earning the 4-0 win in a non-conference men’s soccer match on Sunday afternoon on West Field in Parkland, Wash.
The Lutes got on the board in the sixth minute as Giancarlo Santoro fed a ball in to Derek Johnson , who put the ball past Evergreen keeper Collin Harlow (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita HS/Shoreline CC). PLU made it 2-0 before the half as Johnson scored again following a corner kick by Rigoberto Loreto.
Pacific Lutheran added two more quick goals in the early part of the second half. Loreto scored an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute and then fed a ball to Brian Lefavour for a goal in the 56th minute.
