Bordeuax to Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port. From here on out, I am looking back no more. I had a long conversation with the man running this hostel, and he spoke words that I really desperately needed to be reminded of. “You do not need to prove anything to anyone. You do not need to prove anything to yourself. If you let The Way guide you and walk with your heart rather than your head, you will truly find yourself. You must remember that you are worth it. You are enough, and you are all you have. It is very difficult for people to truly accept this. Listen to your body and respect what it tells you. Walk alone, and do not worry about the past or the future. The present moment is all there is and all that matters. This is your Way, and no one else’s.”
With that said, this place and these people are already loads better than where I was before….and I am excited as hell.
