What is the NPLCC?

According to their webpage “The NPLCC is one of 22 LCCs established by the Department of Interior. The North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative is a self-directed partnership between federal agencies, states, Tribes/First Nations, non-governmental organizations, universities, and other entities to collaboratively define science needs and jointly address broad-scale conservation issues, such as climate change.”

Oregon Climate Change Research Institute

According to their website “The Oregon Climate Change Research Institute (OCCRI), based at Oregon State University (OSU), is a network of over 100 researchers at OSU, the University of Oregon, Portland State University, Southern Oregon University, and affiliated federal and state labs. Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Center

According to their website, “The Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC) is a nonprofit organization that is the Northwest’s leading source of high quality, unbiased pollution prevention (P2) information. The Alaska State Climate Center

According to their website “The Alaska State Climate Center (ASCC) and the office of State Climatologist were established in accordance with Alaska Statute AS 14.40.085 to provide a central location for Alaska climate information and expertise. Coolmom

Coolmom is a non-profit organization that encourages families (specifically with mothers) to join in to combat climate change.  They advocate multiple programs such as an activity called “Walking School Bus”, in which a large group of children would walk to school instead of ride the bus.  They participate in events to publicize their cause.  Coolmom is supported by large scale companies like Safeway and Organic Valley.  While their financial information is not available Coolmom is a trustworthy organization.  Coolmom is part of the “De-Carbonization of Community” wedge because the organization tries to pass on environmentally friendly ideas and projects to as many people as they can.

Climate Action Reserve Program

According to their website “The Climate Action Reserve is an environmental 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of encouraging actions to manage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The organization was launched in 2001 to help companies take early actions to manage and reduce their emissions. Today, the Climate Action Reserve uses its expertise in GHG accounting to ensure environmental benefit, integrity and transparency in market-based solutions that reduce GHG emissions, including offset projects.
