Welcome to my website for spring quarter Commodification Processes and Alternatives. I am Linsey and my pronouns are she/her and they/them is acceptable as well. This is my second quarter in the SOS program ComAlt.

Last quarter my project focused on Salmon Commodification, and Fisheries Managements. This quarter I will be looking at the commodification of nature and wild experiences. This project will encompass land use policies and how outdoor experiences have become a simple commodity.

I leave May 1st for seasonal work in Alaska, my summer job allows me the opportunity to work in Glacier Bay on a weekly basis; so Glacier Bay National Park will become my test subject for this quarter. As I look at different policies around Public lands, and National Park regulations I will do so though the context of Glacier Bay. It is a unique park in that most of the park is traversed though water ways, this park will also be affected by new regulations on hunting in Alaska’s public lands (more on this in coming weeks).
