Public Comment:
Stephanie Conesa came to a GSU meeting to team up with them. Stephanie talked about how Evergreen and the National Guard both have negative names in the local community and how she would like to change that. She is also looking for ways to recruit on campus. She was referred to Career Services.
Elections:
Currently there have been 716 student votes and there are three days left to vote. There will be an emergency meeting being held on Monday December 5th to approve new GSU members and invite them to the next meeting on Wednesday. It will be publically advertised.
ATM’s:
Chelsea is going to contact John and see if he has reviewed the contract.
Composting in SEM II:
Adam from the CEC wants to partner with the GSU to provide compost bins in the SEM II classrooms. There needs to be a dedicated student or students to organize and contact the office of sustainability to start this project. The project is being tabled until next quarter.
Interviews for Committees:
There will be new interviews on Monday December 5th 2011 from 10am-12pm.
EF Students:
Kelsy, Willy, and Chelsea met with the EF program to discuss who we are what we want to see and they were responsive. They discussed the “No Trespassing” sign and the EF explained that because they have been taken advantage of in the past and the sign was a way to stop that. Kentsaid “There has to be a better way.” Next Wednesday they are meeting at 12:00 with the Activities Director to create a space for Evergreen and EF students to build a community and be come friends.
